Great science books for high school students: The hive-mind speaks - The Loom : The Loom

As I'm ever searching for new and creative lesson ideas, I did a google search on "physics students" and "critical thinking". Here is an interesting blog on science trade (not text) for high school students (life and physical sciences). I have read a few of these and they are absolutely excellent! Our main focus for this year is SCIENCE LITERACY and I think trade books help to reinforce that within a real world application. Are there other books you can think of? Please share!
