Welcome to the amazing, sometimes disgusting, always interesting world of high school science! Just a quick introduction to who I am since I am new to teaching in Fallon this year. I was born in Reno and raised in Smith Valley, Nevada. I am proud to say I am a 4th generation Nevadan and attended the University of Nevada Reno where I obtained my Bachelors of Science in Biology in 2003. I then attended Sierra Nevada College where I earned my secondary teaching endorsement in 2004. I completed my Master's of Teaching from SNC in 2008. In 2011 I finished an endorsement for school based speech therapy through Nevada State College out of Henderson, NV.  My diverse background in education includes teaching honors and AP biology, anatomy and physiology, animal behavior, physics, leadership (student council), counseling (as a graduation coach), and working as a school based speech therapist. This is the start of my 11th year in the field of education! WOW! Time has gone by fast.  I am very excited to be working at Oasis Academy College Prep this year and getting to know you and your students.
